By creating an account or using Lingviko, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

• You must be at least 8 years old to use Lingviko.
• By using Lingviko, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

2. Account Registration

• You must create an account via our authentication provider (Clerk) to access Lingviko.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You agree not to share your account or use another person's account without permission.

3. Use of the Service

Lingviko is provided for personal, educational use only.

You agree not to use Lingviko for:

• Illegal purposes or in violation of applicable law.
• Attempting to reverse engineer, scrape, or misuse the Service.
• Sharing offensive, harmful, or unlawful content.

4. Subscription & Payments

• Some features of Lingviko require a paid subscription.
• Payments are processed by LemonSqueezy (https://www.lemonsqueezy.com).
• By subscribing, you agree to the displayed pricing and billing intervals.
• Subscription fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable except as required by law.

5. Withdrawal & Refunds (EU/UK Consumers)

• If you are a consumer in the EU/UK, you have a 14-day withdrawal right after your first payment.
• You may exercise this right by contacting info@lingviko.com.
• If you choose to start using Lingviko immediately and tick the checkbox at checkout, you agree to waive your withdrawal right once the service has begun.
• After the 14-day withdrawal period, cancellations will take effect at the end of the current billing cycle.

6. Cancellation

• You can cancel your subscription at any time via your account settings.
• Access continues until the end of the billing period.
• No refunds are provided for partial billing cycles.

7. Intellectual Property

• All content, trademarks, and technology on Lingviko are owned by Lingviko Ltd or its licensors.
• You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute Lingviko content without prior written permission.
• AI-generated content provided by Lingviko is for personal educational use only.

8. AI & Educational Disclaimer

• Lingviko uses artificial intelligence to assist with German learning.
• We do not guarantee that content is free from errors.
• Lingviko is not an official examination body and does not issue certified qualifications.
• The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
• Our total liability to you will not exceed the subscription fees paid in the last 12 months.

10. Privacy

Your use of Lingviko is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, available at /legal/privacy and /legal/cookies.

11. Termination

• We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.
• You may stop using Lingviko at any time by deleting your account.

12. Governing Law

• These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
• Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available at /legal/terms. Continued use of Lingviko after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
